Alien Kid ShakeOut by Will, Zoe and Mia

We have been learning about how to use Stop Motion Animation and WeVideo to create stories.  We have made this animation especially to share at our Kaikohekohe Digital Learning Symposium at Northland College.  We will be sharing our animation with other students as well as teaching them how to use the apps to create their  own animations.  We have also written a step by step guide as part of our procedural writing.  We are very excited to be going to the Symposium and sharing our learning.  Thanks to Tania, our fantastic Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitator.

  2. Kia Ora Zoe, Will and Mia,
I am so impressed with your animation. You have worked really hard on creating your characters and really thinking about how to get your message, Drop, Cover, Hold across. I have shared your example with other students and teachers in the Kaikohekohe cluster so that other people can learn from you. Zoe - you did so well at the symposium at Northland College sharing the 'how to' of animation. I know you have inspired LOTS of people. You should all be very PROUD!

Thank you Tania for helping us with all our learning. We wouldn't have been there if it hadn't been for you. We learnt some things and now we are even more inspired to share these things at Paihia School. We can't wait for your visit next week.

  3. I loved seeing your work at the symposium and am glad it is shared on your blog so I can alert kids in Auckland, where I live, to check it out.

    Well done to you.

  4. Hi Mia, Will and Zoe, Pippiana from Rm7 here,
I loved your idea of the Drop, Cover, Hold. It would probably be a really good way to teach people about earthquakes. What were the people made from?
